Spray booths
A spray booth is a airflow machine before it is a cabin. Air enters through the ceiling filter, moves down past the vehicle and leaves through the floor grating, so overspray is pushed away from the panel being painted rather than across it. Every booth on this page follows that downdraft path, which is why the ceiling filter and the floor filter are the two consumables that decide whether the finish stays clean.
The heating choice drives the running cost more than the purchase price. Diesel burner units heat fast and suit sites without a heavy electrical supply; electric units remove the fuel handling and the flue, but demand 18–54 kW of connected load. Dual-fuel builds let a shop switch according to the season or the local fuel price. Baking temperature is 80 °C across the range, which is the normal two-pack cycle.
Working length is 7.0 m on every model here, with external widths of 4.0 m or 5.35 m depending on the configuration. The narrower cabin suits a single bay with a tight footprint; the wider one leaves room to open doors inside the booth. Filter stages run from a single ceiling filter to a three-stage set with pre-filter cotton and floor filtration.
Delivery and terms
A booth needs a level floor, a duct run to atmosphere and a power supply matched to the heater. Confirm the flue route and the neighbour clearance before the panels arrive — this is the part of a booth project that cannot be fixed after installation.
Questions buyers ask
Diesel or electric heating?
Diesel heats faster and does not need a large electrical supply, but needs fuel storage and a flue. Electric is cleaner to operate and simpler to site, at the cost of a 18–54 kW connected load. Give us the site supply and we will tell you which builds fit.
What does the 80 °C baking figure mean?
It is the cabin air temperature held during the bake cycle, which is the standard for two-pack paints. It is not a curing temperature for specialist coatings; if you spray something else, say so at quotation stage.
Can the booth be installed in an existing building?
Usually yes, if the clear height and the duct route work. Send the room dimensions and a photo; the limiting factor is almost always the duct exit, not the cabin footprint.
How is the booth shipped?
As knocked-down panels, ducting, burner or heater, lighting and filter set. A 7.0 m booth typically loads into a 40 ft high-cube. Packing dimensions and weight come with the quotation.
