01 / Overview

Four post lifts

A four-post lift trades underbody access for speed and stability. The vehicle drives on and stays on its wheels, which makes it the natural platform for wheel alignment, tyre work and long jobs where the car sits at height for hours. The trade-off is the runway between the operator and the floor pan.

This range runs to 4 tonnes with 1700 mm of rise and a 220 mm minimum height on the standard platform. The alignment variant uses a lower 450 mm rise with sliding jack platforms, because an alignment bay needs the vehicle at working height rather than overhead. Choose by the job, not by the headline capacity.

Platforms are drive-on, so the approach angle and the ramp length decide whether a low front bumper clears. If you run lowered cars, say so — it changes the ramp specification, and it is much cheaper to decide before the steel is cut than after.

Delivery and terms

Four-post lifts need a flat, level floor across the full platform length and a clear approach at both ends. Alignment variants also need the alignment equipment position planned, because the target towers and the console need power and line of sight.

02 / Questions buyers ask

Questions buyers ask

Is the four-post lift suitable for alignment?

Yes — that is what the drive-on platform is for. The alignment variant adds sliding jack platforms so the wheels stay loaded while the targets are read.

Can I park a car under it?

The platform sits at 1700 mm at full rise on the standard model, which leaves usable space beneath for storage in many layouts. Confirm the height against your vehicles.

Does it need a pit?

No. The four-post lift is surface-mounted. The in-ground scissor is the flush-floor alternative if a pit or recess is acceptable on site.

What about long-wheelbase vans?

Tell us the wheelbase and the front overhang at quotation stage; platform length is the constraint, not capacity.
